The First day of Summer.

The First Day of summer was a glorious day after the Crime party, in which I took the role of the Bulter who didn’t do it, but who did do the B-B-Qing. We are not, although, entirely innocent, since Tabitha, played by Anna Bryndis did do it, and very nearly got away with the perfect crime. But now its summer and so to celebrate we went to the pool and then had coffee with the Reykjavik branch and RC volunteers from the Gambia.

We cleaned the car, and cleaned it again.... all to wash away the accumulated winter crime. What a winter !!!! The Car will need another cleaning.

Sveinn Runar and Hjördís had b’days this weekend.

Hippy bathday !

Bye the way...

The Easter joint turned out well this year, longer in the oven at a much lower heat. And also tastes better because of the efforts of dads kitchen helper, Sandra. Thanks Sandra.

Eirikurs Birthday

On Friday Eirikur celebrated his 12 year birthday. He was woken up with song and presents before being turffed out to school. Later on in the day the boys from his class came round for a pizza party, videos and general racousness. A good day .......Congratulations to the main guy!

Meyjavellir

Eirikur did his play at the City Theatre house, a proper pukka theatre. He was on a round stage and coped well with it because technically it is harder to act on this type of stage I am told. Eirikur did very well in his part as the school teacher and gave a rousing rendition of a pirates song for his solo. There was a lot of power and energy in it and it carried well into the audience. We really enjoyed the show. Thanks Eirikur, I think your Grandmother would have been so proud of you !

Easter Vacs

I am making a big effort to catch up because there has been so much going on. The first issue is male voice choirs. Not exactly what you might call my normal fare, however..... we got tickets to the Fosturbræður concert and it was good to hear; powerful.

From the highbrow to the low brow... passing through the film “300” the story board version of “go tell it to the Spartans”. Good company and a beer or three afterwards.
The verdict : A visual feast, epic dialogue and the ten packed actors. There is not much more that that to it... yeah,, but powerful enough to send me on a guilt trip to the gym.

Okay, it was better than "Alexander",
well nuff said !
